WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are located on the northwest corner of Lincoln Way and Marshall Avenue, next to McDonald’s, and across the street from Hy-Vee and Fareway Meat Market.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?

We’re open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. We will maintain these hours, rain or shine. If you have suggestions about improving our carwash availability, please let us know!

WILL THERE ALWAYS BE A PERSON THERE TO HELP?

Absolutely! While fully automated, Varsity Carwash will always have team members on-site to help with purchases, guide cars onto the conveyor belt, and attend to any of your needs. Just press the help button at a pay station and we will assist you. You’re also welcome to park in one of our vacuum stalls and get assistance, make account changes, or ask questions in our office. We are passionate about serving our patrons, so we would love to know if there is a way we can serve you better.

ARE THE VACUUM’S REALLY FREE?

Yes! While the tunnel makes the outside of your car sparkle, we all like a clean interior too. Our self-service vacuums are complementary to every guest and are available during business hours. Trash cans are conveniently located in every vacuum stall for larger items. As a courtesy to others, please limit vacuuming time to 10 minutes during busy times.

WHY OFFER THE MICROFIBER TOWELS?

While the tunnel makes the outside of your car sparkle, we recognize there might be some touch-up needed to really dial in the final product. Our self-service microfiber towels are complementary to every guest of our wash and are available during business hours. In most cases, one or two should do the trick. Please return used towels so we can wash and use them again.

HOW CAN I JOIN THE VARSITY WASH CLUB?

Joining the Varsity Wash Club is simple and fast. You can initiate your membership at the drive-up pay station or online here, both are convenient and secure. Once your membership is active, our camera system will read your rear license plate to give you automated entry through our gates every time you visit.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FAMILY DISCOUNTS FOR MEMBERSHIPS?

We value our loyal guests. If you have more than one car in your family, we offer discounts for additional cars at each wash level. A second car added at the MVP level will receive a $5 discount. At the Clean, Shine and Protect level, the discount is $2 off. 

WILL THE BRUSH MATERIAL SCRATCH MY CAR?

Absolutely not! We use a specially designed, soft material for all of our brushes, curtains and wraps that gently and thoroughly clean the exterior of your vehicle. (We have samples available, so if you’d like to feel them, please ask a team member.) Every wash package begins with a thorough pre-soak and high-pressure wash, so that the dirt and grime resting on your vehicle are loosened up before the brushes contact your vehicle. Plus, we don’t skimp on the process and use the best chemicals to properly lubricate and protect your vehicle. Finally, we diligently evaluate and maintain all of our wash equipment to eliminate any dirt or debris left behind by other vehicles. Just like your vehicle after it goes through the wash, we are meticulously clean, so wash with confidence!

ARE THERE VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS FOR YOUR CARWASH TUNNEL?

Yes. The carwash can accommodate vehicles up to 7’4″ (88 inches) tall and up to 6’8″ (80 inches) wide (without mirrors). We ask that pickup beds be clean and free from any items and debris. If your vehicle has retractable running boards, mirrors, or antennas, we ask that you put them in the retract position before entering the tunnel. We are not able to service double-axle trucks (duallys) as they are generally too wide for our conveyor belt to safely service. If you have any questions or concerns about our wash being able to accommodate your vehicle, please consult with one of our team members before entering the tunnel. 

IS YOUR CARWASH ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY?

 Our goal is to minimize our environmental impact and be responsible stewards of our resources. Varsity Carwash has invested heavily in a water reclamation system which allows us to filter, clean and recycle wastewater. We use fewer than 20 gallons of fresh water per car, about the same amount of water used in a 10-minute shower. Varsity Carwash also captures the harmful road oils and other contaminants that we wash off of your car and pumps them out to be disposed of properly. We have all LED lighting on site and our vacuums have a ‘smart controller’ that limits the vacuum’s energy requirements based on usage.

HOW CAN I UPDATE OR CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?

If you need to update or cancel your membership, simply send an email to hello@varsitycarwashames.com. Cancellations will begin at the next billing date.

WHAT DO I DO IF I THINK MY CAR WAS DAMAGED AT THE WASH?

We do our best to keep our equipment in top condition and keep an eye out for features of your car that may be susceptible to damage. It’s the responsibility of the guest to read our disclaimer posted at the pay station. The disclaimer lists the types of accessories and pre-existing conditions for which we cannot be held responsible if they are damaged by the wash. If you believe we may have damaged your car, please find a manager on site, complete a damage form and we will take photos, review our security cameras and discuss the matter with you within 72 hours.
